Symbolic Easter Eggs

Symbolic Easter eggs are a fun and interactive way to teach children (and adults) about the Easter season.
Each set comes with 12 colorful eggs. Inside each egg is a symbol that pertains to Easter with a scripture reference to look up.
For example: One egg contains a small cross. The scripture reference is John 19:17-18.
Since there are scripture references and no script, this activity can be customized for any age group. We have used these eggs for family home evenings, sunday lessons, and sharing time.
As always, all of the proceeds collected from this item will go towards Dad's medical bills.
12 Symbolic Easter Eggs $5
12 Eggs with a basket $7
We will be making these on 2 different dates:
Orders must be received by April 14th
for delivery/pickup on April 16th
OR
Orders must be received by April 20th
for delivery/pickup on April 21st

Lucky the Leprechaun

Legend has it if you plan things just right, your kids can catch a glimpse of Lucky the Leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day.

We have assembled a kit to help you do just that!

The first component that you will need are some super soft SUGAR COOKIES and GREEN FROSTING (that is what entices Lucky in). Kids will have a great time frosting these shamrock shaped cookies.

The second component that you need is a TRAP. A storage basket or laundry basket work great. Prop the basket up with a stick and place the plate of cookies under the basket.

Make sure to set the trap before you go to bed the night before St. Patrick's Day.

In the morning your kids will come in to find the cookies gone but no Lucky! However, there are GREEN FOOTPRINTS around the house. Sometimes Lucky does a few naughty things while he is in your home. It has been said that he sometimes turns the milk green (or even the toilet water). He even dances on the ceiling once in a while - you can tell from the footprints he left!!

If the kids follow the footprints they will find a POT OF GOLD that Lucky has left for them.

Lucky usually leaves a note that says:
"You Almost Caught Me - Better Luck Next Year!!"

The Leprechaun Kit comes with the following:

12 Shamrock Shaped Super Soft Sugar Cookies
(You only need to leave a few out for Lucky - the rest are for you to enjoy!!)
Green Tinted Frosting

Green Footprints

Black Pot
Gold Treasure
(a mixture of gold wrapped candy)

All the prep work is done for you. Just relax and have a great time with your kids!!

$10 per kit

Orders must be placed by
Tuesday, March 15th by noon
Delivery will be Wednesday, March 16th

All proceeds go to Dad for medical expenses.

Jacque, a daughter in-law, is making these adorable toddler aprons. They are perfect for any toddler that likes to "help" or in other words - make a mess.

They are available in a variety of patterns and with an optional waterproof vinyl cover. Both styles are machine washable, however the vinyl aprons should not be put in the dryer.

These aprons fit sizes 2T to 4T. The price is $12 for a standard apron. The vinyl covered aprons are $15. All proceeds from these fun aprons will go to help dad with his medical bills.

The cute model, Katelyn, is one of dad's grandchildren

We're Glad You're Here!

We are glad that you have found our fundraising blog!
We are the Jensen Family.
Dad - Delbert
Mom - Pam
Kids:
Mike & Mindy
Mary & Dan
Leslie & Sarah
Jamie & Faron
Ricky & Jacque
Danny & Leslyn
Emily
Yep that's 7 kids (plus spouses and lots of grandkids)!

Our Dad, Delbert, was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer just a few short weeks ago. After visiting with the oncologist this week, they have decided the best treatment now will be radiation. We are so blessed to have such good doctors and medical treatment available.

Unfortunately, cancer treatment is VERY expensive! The estimated cost for this type of treatment is 40 to 50 Thousand Dollars! He sure is fortunate to have insurance. However, even with insurance, their out of pocket expense will be several thousand dollars.

Sadly, Dad does not receive sick time at his job (he does have some vacation time). This will also add to the financial strain in the coming months.

As a family, we would like to help raise money to help offset some of the medical bills that will start rolling in any day now.

We are offering a variety of goods for sale. We will update the sidebar with items that are currently available. If you would like to order, just leave a comment, send us an email, or call us if you know our numbers.

Thanks so much for caring about our family!!!
